A complex sentence contains Dependent and Independent.
A Independent clause make the sentence a sentence because if you just put a dependent it dose not make sense.
A dependent clause need the independent clause to make it make sense.
Because I had a basketball game, I had to dress up.
Because I had home work, I could not hang out with my friends.
Because I had a baseball game at 6 o'clock, I did not get my homework done.
Zac made a half court shot but I made Alec made a full court shot.
Beau said not to say hello to his mom but I did.
Hunter said that he shot a deer but I did not believe him.
