Complex Sentences

A complex sentence is a sentence with a dependent clause with an independent clause in the same sentence. A independent clause is a sentence that can be said without and transition word in it. A dependent clause is a sentence with subordinating conjunction words in the sentence.

  • Because Tommy missed the bus, he had to get a ride to school.
  • After the meal, the family got desert.
  • If you don't feed you're goldfish, it will die.
  • As long as you do homework you will get good grades.
  • Since dinosaurs are extinct we can dig up their bones and use them as gas.
  • Although you don't get good grades that doesn't mean you aren't smart.
