Complex Sentences

Complex Sentence: A complex sentence is where a sentence has a dependent and an independent clause. 
Independent Clause: Independent clause is where it doesn't need a dependent that the sentence is finished. 
Dependent Clause: A dependent clause is where the sentence is not finished and that the sentence needs more added into it, to make it a complete sentence. 
Examples with comma: 
  1. Because it snowed, we didn't have school.
  2. Since we broke moms vase, we are grounded.
  3. When I took my sisters iPod, she took my phone.
Examples without comma:
  1. We didn't have to go to school since it snowed.
  2. When I took my sisters iPod she took my phone.
  3. Mom grounded us since we broke her vase.
